Hello, welcome to our year 5/6E class page.
I am Mrs McCrudden the class teacher in 5/6E. I also have the wonderful support of Mrs Jones who is our amazing teaching assistant.
Throughout this page you will be able to browse through our class twitter and look at all the fantastic things we have been up to in 5/6E (please also check our class twitter page and Dojo page for any updates).
We have made a great start in year 5/6E with plenty more learning fun to come throughout the rest of the year. Please check this page regularly for any updates. Throughout the year, children will share their love and passion for learning through research, practical activities, investigations and role-play. Throughout the year we focus on three influential characters which will inspire children’s learning.
We cover a wide range of topics, including the Angle Saxons, looking at history beyond 1066. We discover Gladys Aylward’s life journey and explore Mayan civilisation. In English we enjoy and love different styles of texts. This year we are reading The Spider and the Fly, The Nowhere Emporium and developing our comprehension skills through quality texts such as holes and Summerset Tsunami. We will explore the powers of Michael Monpurgo.
