Hello!

Welcome to our Year 5/6S Class page. I am Mr Toth and I will be teaching your child this academic year. Alongside myself, we have Mrs Newton, who will be supporting 5/6S this year, as our Teaching Assistant.

We have already made a great start in Year 5/6S. We have a fun filled year planned. Throughout the year, we will learn about three inspirational characters, who the children love learning about and we captivate their love of learning through practical activities, planned school trips, investigations and role-play.

Our topics range from Anglo Saxons, where we study an aspect of History beyond 1066; Gladys Alyward (Mayan Civilisation) and Ed Stafford. We love reading a variety of books from poetry, non-fiction and fiction text.

I am sure this will be an amazing year at Elton Primary. Especially for the Year 6 children, who are preparing their transition to secondary school.
