Hello!

Welcome to our Year 5/6P class page. I am Miss Comer and I will be teaching your child this year. We also have Mrs McDermott, our wonderful, experienced teaching assistant, supporting us on our learning journey.

We have already made a great start to the year and I feel extremely lucky to be teaching this fantastic group of children! We are excited to celebrate the many achievements that your child will overcome this year and learn, grow and explore together. Here in Year 5/6, throughout the year, we learn about three influential characters. This year we are exploring the lives and accomplishments of Alfred the Great, Gladys Alyward and Ed Stafford. We have made an amazing start to the year by immersing ourselves into learning about Space and we can’t wait to start learning about The Anglo Saxons and the World Wars.

I forward to working with you and your child during their final years at Elton and supporting them through their transition to Secondary School! I am sure this will be an amazing final year and I know they are going to work incredibly hard in order to achieve.
